📖 Sam Stops Overthinking
Sam had been "about to invest" for 8 months. He'd read 12 articles, watched 40 YouTube videos, and downloaded 3 apps. He still hadn't bought a single share.
His friend Ben said: "Mate. You're not performing surgery. You're buying ₹5,000 worth of a company that's been around for 30 years. Just do it."
Sam bought 3 shares of HDFC Bank. Nothing exploded. His money didn't vanish. He felt immediately ridiculous for waiting 8 months. 😅

Important: CNC vs MIS
✅ CNC (Cash and Carry)
Delivery mode. Shares go to your Demat account. Hold as long as you want. THIS is what you want as a beginner.
⚠️ MIS (Margin Intraday Square-off)
Intraday mode. Auto-closes at 3:20 PM. Uses leverage. Do NOT select this until you know exactly what you're doing.
🎯 Beginner's First Portfolio Suggestion:
Start with ₹10,000–₹25,000 across 2-3 large-cap companies or a simple Nifty 50 Index Fund SIP. Don't try to be clever. Don't try to beat the market in month one. The goal of your first investment is to learn — and to stop being the person who has "been meaning to invest" for years. Tomorrow: What is a Mutual Fund?
