Day 51: Maximalism
More is More — decorate fearlessly!

📖 "Fear of Empty Space" (Horror Vacui)...
Aditi loved traveling. Wherever she went, she brought back paintings, sculptures, rugs, and cushions. A minimalist designer told her: "This is all too much, remove some things."
Aditi replied: "Why should I? Every piece has a story, and I want to live among my stories!"
This is the very soul of Maximalism! It's not "too much junk", it is an intentional curation.

What is Maximalism?
Minimalism says "Less is More". Maximalism says "More is More"! This style is about fearlessly mixing colors, patterns, textures, and art. It aligns naturally with India's rich culture!
Rules for Successful Maximalism (To Avoid Chaos)
- 🎨 An 'Anchor' Color: Even if you are displaying 100 items, a deep base color (like a navy blue or dark green wall) ties everything together.
- 🦓 The Pattern Mixing Formula: One large pattern (large florals/leaves) + one geometric pattern (stripes/checks) + one small pattern (dots/fine prints).
- 🖼️ Gallery Wall from Floor to Ceiling: Don't just hang artwork in the middle; cover the entire wall in art!
- 📚 Books, Books, Books: Maximalist homes always have stacks of books (on tables, on shelves). It makes the home feel intellectual and cozy.
⚠️ Maximalism vs Clutter:
In maximalism, every object is displayed and has a designated place. Clutter means having things that don't belong (like electricity bills, loose keys, or clothes lying on the dining table). Maximalism is design; clutter is a mess!
