1. Where to Buy Furniture?
- IKEA: Unbeatable in India for basic storage, bookshelves, rugs, and lighting. (Avoid IKEA for the main living room sofa; they tend to be less durable for Indian households).
- Pepperfry / Urban Ladder: Great options for dining tables, TV units, and wooden furniture. Wait for their sales!
- Local Markets (Kirti Nagar in Delhi / Oshiwara in Mumbai, etc.): The absolute best for solid wood (Teak/Sheesham) and customized sofas. Always bargain!
2. Decor and Fabrics
- D'Decor / FabIndia: For premium curtains and upholstery fabrics. Expensive, but the quality is spectacular.
- Banjara Market (or local handicraft bazaars): For ceramic pots, vintage mirrors, woven baskets, and wooden showpieces. What costs ₹3000 in a mall will cost ₹500 here. Bargaining is mandatory!
- Amazon / Myntra: Good for small decor items, photo frames, faux plants, and wallpaper.
